Well then, welcome to part two of the HUNTERxHUNTER Fortune-telling charms review! The secret character will finally be revealed and ultimately, the little chums will be released from their plastic containers as well! So here comes the secret character! Duhduhduhduhduh
It’s Killua (as if we all didn’t already know)! He looks exactly the same as the normal Killua, except that the mouth of this is opened! I was debating whether the opened mouth was really just an opened mouth or is it actually meant to be a smile, but I decided on the former since the paint job of the mouth didn’t quite make it a smile. The lucky colors of the secret Killua are purple and columbia blue and he tells the fortune of wealth and romance!

Here’s both Killua out of their containers!
There’s definitely bits of paint bleeds here and there, but for a charm that’s so small in size, I think the paint job is indeed already quite fantastic, especially so when the hair has such good shadings! On a side note, the back of Killua’s hair always reminds me of a durian–a white durian!

After Killua, we have Gon! Not only is Gon’s pose really adorable, he has a perfect paint job as well! The colors are smooth, the lines are really neat and there are basically no slip-ups anywhere! Well, actually, it’s all great except for his mouth. If Gon’s tongue was more in line with the color of the inner side of his mouth, he wouldn’t look so much like he’s bleeding from there!

Next comes Kurapika! Both the calm and aggressive Kurapika look exactly the same, except that one of them is in a foul mood and thus, has the flaming scarlet eyes! The hair for both of them is not as well done because the ends of it isn’t smooth enough and a part of the paint got chipped off. However, his hair does nicely frames up his face and that’s certainly rather lovely! I love how even the tiniest detail like the red spot on the back of his blue cape-like outer garment is painted!

Following Kurapika is Leorio! Leorio has little bits of paint bleeds and the paint on his right sleeve near the elbow area was chipped off. There are also collars and buttons carved on his blue business suit, which is a nice touch but they don’t stand out obvious enough! One thing I really like about Leorio though, is that they made his pair of teashade sunglasses a see-through! Amazing!

Behind Leorio is Hisoka! Just like Gon, Hisoka is yet another case of having a perfect paint job! Besides that little slip-up on the back of his left hand, all the other parts are remarkably even and quite detailed–every spades and hearts are right where they should belong! I think it’s incredible how the people have made him so well even at such a size! Also, I noticed that Hisoka’s hair resembles a konpeito (a Japanese traditional candy) from the top of his head! That looks pretty appetizing!

After Hisoka, we have Illumi coming our way! There’s basically negligible amount of faults on Illumi! Additionally, not only is his hair well-shaped and addictive to touch, those few strands of hair that’s sitting happily on his forehead are notably superbly done too! Instead of just painting those strands straight on, the strands of hair are actually levelled from the forehead so they doesn’t seem flat at all–definitely a fantastic feature! It’s adorable as to how Illumi seems to be impassively giving you a high-five as well!

Lastly, we have Silva! His paint job isn’t as particularly well done, but it’s definitely obvious that the shading of his hair is just as pleasant as Killua’s! That outfit of his certainly does stands out and suits him very well too! Furthermore, I really like how his facial expression seems so intimidating and yet rather cute at the same time, mainly like this: (`△´ ).

It has been only a short while, but we are soon coming to the end of these little fellows’ showtime. In conclusion, I wouldn’t exactly say that I got them at a reasonable price and I do wish that there were more characters included inside like Kikyo or Milluki–since Silva and and Illumi are already inside–instead of having doubles of everyone, but they’re definitely a must get if you are a fan of HUNTERxHUNTER because they’re one of the more higher quality charms you’ll ever find! Besides having such impressive quality, they are also small in size, which means it’s fun to carry them around, but just make sure you don’t abandon and forgot about them somewhere! Moreover, with such a size and vibrant colors, they can pull off as candy or even chocolates, hah!

So this is the end of the charms’ from HUNTERxHUNTER showcasing time. Thank you for your time. See you again!

Well, I’m not sure if the local shops in my area actually sell these since I haven’t seen them around, but I usually order these (charms, figures, magazines) online instead of buying locally so maybe you should shop online instead if you can’t find them there in Malaysia!

Haha! Yep, I’m so glad they fit so well in it! I like keeping boxes, for no particular reasons, even if I know I’ve got no use for them, and had never thought I’ll be able to use that box again!

They’re so small -can they take the abuse of getting moved around and dropped?

Well, since I display them on plastic bases on my shelf, I would frequently move them around to prevent any sticking of the charms to the bases and it does them no harm, so I’ll say it’s definitely okay to move them, but dropping them is certainly not ideal–you wouldn’t want any scratches on them after all. On a side note, I’m quite entertained by your display picture, haha.
