Finally! It’s showtime for our hardworking manga artist, Mashiro Moritaka! Even he, himself, is excited to show you his workplace!
Manufacturer(s): Phat Company
Item(s): figurex1, extra face platex2, extra armx2, extra handx3, extra bottomx1, desk + chair + accessories, stand+basex1
Condition: possibly pre-owned
Let’s start out by looking at his box packaging! It is a nicely printed blue box with ruler measurements on the border and has the Bakuman’s logo stamped right in the bottom centre of the front! Nice!
I am no expert with Japanese as I’ve only started learning it recently but from what I can understand as seen above, the left should be saying “「Friendship·Hard work·Success」Interchangeable action figure!” and, sadly, I do not understand the meaning on the right but the last part should be “Saikou!” which is Mashiro’s alias. Please correct me if I’m wrong!
Left: Something along the line of “I will become a manga artist!” Right: Could only understand “「Shounen Jack」”
If anyone would to be so kind and tell me what’s the exact translation for those captions, I would be really thankful!
Next, we move on to the contents! Mashiro comes with an eye-catching red background with windows on the sides and also a lot of accessories! Wow!
Some items are rather small so you have to be careful not to lose them! There is also a manual showing you how to set up Mashiro and his desk for him to work with. The instructions are in Japanese but it is graphical enough for any normal person to understand so it’s a very helpful manual!
Mashiro himself is very well painted with sharp and crisp lines for his outfit!
His ahoge is also removeable! This makes it less likely to break! Awesome!
Sadly, he didn’t come as perfect to me because his bottom part was loose so it’ll be lowered when there’s no base for him to rest on, but it’s alright because this problem can be easily fixed with some glue!
One of his face plate also did not fit nicely into his hair so avoiding the side angle of him when photographing is important!
After looking at Mashiro himself, it’s time to look at his desk! If I wasn’t the one who took the photos, I’d think his desk is life-size for a moment because it’s so amazingly craved!
He’s angry, he’s angry! Because his determined face looked more like an angry face and he has a desk, I couldn’t help but create a table flip scene! He he he…
Celebrating joyous moment.
…Urk!! Lesson learnt! Never stand or play on a desk chair!
Overall, this is a very fun and adorable figure, and because he comes with so many extra parts and accessories, you can display him with a lot of different poses! But I think it could have been better if there was a hole drilled on the top of the ink bottle to make it possible for putting the brush in! Though, all in all, Mashiro is definitely worth the purchase!
This is the end of Mashiro’s showcasing time. Thank you for your time. See you again!

Nice review! clearly better than mine. The table flip part was funny and made me wonder how you took the picture. Just a guess, I think you used tape to attach them together.

Thank you! Ah, we all have our own style of reviewing! Yours is just as great as well! Close enough, I did use something to attach them but it’s not tape. I used tiny bits of blu-tack to do it since they’re less likely to damage the surfaces of the props when removing them from it!
On a side note, I just visited your blog and love the new layout!

I guess you’re right about the reviewing style thingy. I’ll try to strive to become a better nendo reviewer and thanks for visiting my crappy blog. LOL ~(*O*~)

Ah, speaking of your blog, I’d like to add it to my blogroll! Will it be alright with you if I create a banner out of your main header since you don’t seem to have one meant for linking yet?
